After School Enrichment Program

First Session Begins October 5th!

ASEP is BACK!!  The 2021 Fall session begins on Tuesday, October 5th and runs through Thursday, November 18th (no school on November 2nd or 4th).  The program is six weeks long. One-hour classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and start immediately after school (3:05 pm to 4:05 pm).   The students will be brought from their classrooms at the 3 pm dismissal right to their ASEP class.

Students not given permission to walk home can be picked up at 4:05pm behind the school on the blacktop by the entrance to the APR.

If your child will not be attending on a particular day, please notify our proctor Barbara O'Shaughnessy by texting her at 609-238-1219.  She cannot answer her phone during the school day so texting is best or you can email her at boshaughnessy@haddonfield.k12.nj.us.  Lastly, you can also email the office by leaving a message on the absentee line. Email the ASEP coordinators at centralasep@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Room Parent Communication

The District cannot provide your Room Parents with your email address. In order to receive communication from your Room Parents regarding classroom parties (crossing my fingers we can have those this year!), field trips (crossing my toes too that we can have those too), volunteer opportunities, optional teacher gifts (holiday/end of the year) and teacher appreciation you need to opt in to Room Parent Communication.  The teachers are listed below with their respective google form.  If you have multiple children at Central, fill out each form for each of your children's teachers.

Reflections Art Program will start soon!  Start brainstorming! The theme this year is “I Will Change The World By…”  Reflections is an Arts in Education program sponsored by the national PTA each year for students to show their talent in the fields of literature, visual arts, photography, dance, and other artistic fields.  Each school holds a school-wide program, and - from each school - three submissions are selected in each age range and category to go to the county-wide competition, which takes place in early December.  Some works from the county-level are chosen to go to the state-wide competition.

More details regarding the program to come out soon!!

In typical years, our Central School Fashion Show is a ladies’ night out held at Tavistock Country Club. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, last year we were unable to have our annual Fashion Show in person.  Nevertheless, our fundraising committee was determined to raise funds for our school while supporting our local businesses. After a little brainstorming, Shop Local and Support our School was born.  Similarly this year, in hopes that if we limit our activity outside of school it will keep our kids stay in the classroom, in lieu of the Fashion Show, we will be holding a virtual fundraiser starting the week of November 15th, with the live drawing on November 18th. Room Parents will be in touch soon with details regarding the fundraiser. In addition, to involve our students, leading up to the live drawing, the students will have spirit week!
